(1) The El Niño phenomenon has already occurred in Q2 2026, and the probability of a strong El Niño in Q4 is rising. Long-term production reduction expectations provide a price floor for palm oil, but current inventories in producing regions remain high, with actual supply pressure limiting price increases. (2) Recently, the escalation of the situation in the Middle East has led to stronger crude oil prices, which in turn has pushed palm oil higher. However, there is a risk that the geopolitical premium may retreat, potentially dragging prices down. (3) The market will mainly focus on the realization of production cuts in producing regions and the pace of restocking in consumption regions. It is expected that after the fundamental pressure (high inventories) gradually eases, palm oil prices may experience a unilateral upward trend.
