According to Report.az, the government of Kazakhstan has approved the "Strategic Digital Mining Implementation Rules", allowing enterprises to obtain a 10-year electricity quota on the condition that part of their mining output is transferred to Astana Hub and managed in trust by the National Investment Company under the National Bank to supplement the country's strategic cryptocurrency reserves. Operators must submit applications through the E-licensing database, and after approval, sign an agreement with Astana Hub and an electricity sales and purchase contract with an energy production organization within five working days.
