US Senator Lummis: Further discussion will be held on ethical and other provisions in the CLARITY Act
Foresight News reports, according to CoinDesk, that U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated that allowing state attorneys general to bring criminal or civil lawsuits under the ethical provisions of the CLARITY Act is a "red line" for Republican negotiators. The Senate Judiciary, Ethics, and Intelligence Committees have all provided input on the bill. Although the process has been "very difficult," the legislation is now ready to receive further feedback. The restrictive provisions on government officials participating in crypto activities will continue to be discussed this weekend, and some aspects regarding illicit finance may also be further addressed.
