The Financial Services Agency of Japan plans to allow crypto asset ETFs by 2028.

According to a report by Nikkei, Japan's Financial Services Agency plans to amend the Investment Trust Act-related regulations by 2028 to allow crypto assets to become the main investment targets for investment trusts and ETFs. A survey by Nomura Holdings shows that about 79% of institutional investors and family offices plan to invest in crypto assets within three years. The president of XWIN expects that, after Japanese crypto ETFs are launched, up to 3 trillion yen could flow into the market.
