Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi stated on social media on the evening of the 22nd that any attack on Iran's infrastructure will be met with a "firm, powerful, and decisive" response. Araghchi emphasized that any party participating in or supporting such attacks in any form will be regarded by Iran as a legitimate target. On the same day, Iran’s Armed Forces Hatam-al Anbiya Central Headquarters also declared that if the United States carries out threats against Iran’s infrastructure, Iranian armed forces will prevent oil exports from the Middle East and strike the region’s oil, natural gas, electricity, and economic infrastructure.
