Ostium: Trading will resume on July 23 at 22:00
Foresight News reported that the RWA trading platform Ostium on Arbitrum announced via Twitter that it will resume trading at 22:00 on July 23 (UTC+8). The resumption will be conducted in phases, starting with the activation of functions such as closing positions, adding margin, updating or canceling orders, take-profit and stop-loss, and forced liquidation. New positions will only be opened after pending orders are liquidated. Existing open contracts and pending orders will be retained, and positions will be marked at the real-time market price when trading resumes. Only the price at that moment will be used to determine whether liquidation or take-profit/stop-loss is triggered—price fluctuations during the suspension will not be included. For liquidity providers, new deposits are suspended, and withdrawals will be processed in the next settlement cycle. Ostium reminds users to beware of counterfeit accounts. The official team has not issued any recovery registration forms and will not request private keys or funds.
According to previous Foresight News coverage, Ostium stated on Twitter that the attack on July 15 was due to a hacker compromising the off-chain infrastructure related to the protocol’s pricing system, with total losses exceeding $23.75 million. Ostium said it is cooperating with Mandiant, zeroShadow, Collisionless, SEAL 911, and law enforcement agencies, as well as coordinating with exchanges, bridges, and stablecoin issuers. Notification will be provided 24 hours before the restart.
