Strive will support Bitcoin open source development, initially sponsoring the Bitcoin Core and Brink developer organizations.
Foresight News reported that Matt Cole, Chairman and CEO of the Bitcoin treasury company Strive, announced in a post that Strive will expand its support from the Bitcoin policy sphere to open-source development. Initially, it will sponsor organizations such as Brink that support developers of Bitcoin Core and other key Bitcoin infrastructure. Strive stated that this support does not come with any expectations of influence over technical decisions, governance, or protocol direction, and that financial support should not be accompanied by demands for influence. Strive believes that institutions benefiting from Bitcoin should view supporting the long-term health of its ecosystem as part of their fiduciary duty, and called on treasury companies, ETF issuers, mining enterprises, exchanges, custodians, and financial institutions to jointly take responsibility for maintaining the Bitcoin ecosystem.
