US Stocks Move: Equinor rises over 3% pre-market on strong earnings and share buyback
Golden Ten Data July 22|Norwegian state oil company Equinor (EQNR.US) rose 3.3% pre-market, trading at $38.85. According to reports, Equinor released its second-quarter financial results: adjusted earnings per share (EPS) reached $1.33, exceeding analysts’ previous expectation of $1.38; adjusted operating revenue was $11.48 billion, mainly benefiting from rising global liquid prices and European natural gas prices. Additionally, the board has decided to launch the third batch of the 2026 share repurchase program, with a maximum amount of $1.13 billion. This batch will start on July 23 and end no later than October 26. The company expects the total stock repurchase amount for the full year of 2026 to reach $3 billion.
