Samsung plans to invest 200 billion Korean won to build an HVAC factory in South Korea

Odaily reports that industry insiders have revealed Samsung Electronics plans to build a new HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) manufacturing plant within its campus in Gwangju, South Korea, aiming to accelerate expansion of its business-to-business central air conditioning operations.

According to reports, Samsung has recently submitted a construction permit application to the local government for the new facility in the Gwangju campus. The project is expected to involve an investment of about 200 billion won, aiming to strengthen HVAC system production capacity, including cooling equipment for AI data centers. (Finance Association)
