Polygon Ithaca hard fork to go live on mainnet on July 29, enhancing payment reliability
Polygon Foundation announced on the X platform that the Ithaca hard fork has been successfully deployed on the Amoy testnet and will be launched on the Polygon mainnet at block height 50,185,000 (expected at 22:00, July 29, UTC+8).
This upgrade aims to increase payment reliability: automatic failover will ensure smooth transactions in the rare event of block producer stagnation, a new safeguard mechanism will intercept transactions that could slow down or destabilize the network, and node operators will have clearer visibility to guarantee seamless underlying operations. All node operators must upgrade as soon as possible to ensure compatibility and network security.
