Agency: More than 700 oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz

Jinse Finance reported that on July 21, according to a report by maritime analytics company Signal Group, as of July 15, there were a total of 728 loaded and empty oil tankers around the Strait of Hormuz, including 394 empty tankers and 334 loaded tankers. Senior market analyst Maria Bertzeletou stated in the weekly report that there are 168 empty tankers and 175 loaded tankers in the Persian Gulf waters. In the Gulf of Oman to the east of the Strait of Hormuz, there are 226 empty tankers and 159 loaded tankers. Since tensions escalated again on July 6, the proportion of tankers crossing the Strait of Hormuz with transparent ownership information has dropped to 45%, compared to 67% during the temporary peace agreement period.
