On the execution layer, the protocol uses a dedicated mempool with fair-ordering rules designed to curb front-running and sandwich attacks — forms of maximal extractable value in which opportunists insert transactions around a pending trade to skim profit. Consistent, tamper-resistant ordering, the team argues, protects both human and automated participants, delivering the predictable fills that leveraged strategies depend on during volatile stretches.
Taken together, these threads point to a broader migration: derivatives infrastructure is being rebuilt from the base layer up, with speed, fair ordering, and AI-readiness as the new competitive battleground. That build-out is advancing against a cautious tape.
