Bloomberg: Peptide supplement informal vendors saw a 700% year-on-year surge in cryptocurrency payments in Q1 this year
According to Foresight News, Bloomberg citing Chainalysis data reports that informal suppliers selling peptides health products directly to consumers—bypassing prescriptions and FDA approval—received $32 million in cryptocurrency payments in Q1 2026, a surge of 700% compared to the same period last year. The recent annualized scale has already exceeded $100 million. Because banks and credit card companies refuse to provide services to such suppliers due to compliance risks, more sellers are accepting only Bitcoin payments, thus attracting a large number of ordinary consumers who had never previously interacted with cryptocurrency. Blockchain security company TRM Labs data also shows that in 2025, the total crypto inflow into this sector reached $41.4 million, up 20% year-on-year.
