Odaily reports that Hyperliquid stated HIP-4 will support permissionless deployment in upcoming network upgrades, starting on the testnet and then moving to mainnet. As with spot and token trading deployments, HIP-4 technology must undergo thorough testing in a validator deployment environment before expanding to permissionless deployment. HIP-4 deployers are required to stake 500,000 HYPE. If a market definition is unclear, settlement does not comply with template rules, or a market remains unsettled for more than a week, the staked amount will be deducted by validator vote. Similar to HIP-3, the deployer's stake will be locked for 6 months. To unlock the stake, the deployer must settle all markets. HIP-4 deployers will be able to set fee shares up to 50% for deployed markets, and fee configuration features will be introduced in future updates.
