  1. As of July 17, the world's largest gold ETF held 461.36 tons, corresponding to a net asset value of approximately $59.26 billion, with 788.65 million fund shares. The closing price on July 16 was $74.80, with a discount rate of 0.40% on the day.
  2. For silver ETFs, the holdings stood at 15,061.32 tons, corresponding to a net asset value of approximately $26.77 billion, with 535.5 million fund shares. The closing price on July 16 was $50.39, and the discount rate was 1.39%, which is more pronounced compared to gold ETFs.
  3. From a trading sentiment perspective, the recent escalation of the US-Iran conflict has fueled safe-haven demand for precious metals. However, the gold ETF continues to trade at a slight discount, and the silver ETF's discount exceeds 1%, suggesting that short-term physical buying interest in chasing premiums is not strong. The market remains cautiously balanced between risk-off sentiment and the suppressive effect of US dollar interest rates.
  4. The gold benchmark is based on the London Gold PM Fix, while silver references the London Silver Fix. Both funds do not distribute income, and investors participate in precious metal price fluctuations in the form of shares. If geopolitical tensions further deteriorate in the future, a narrowing or reversal of the discount could serve as a signal of a shift in market sentiment.
