French Lockdown Predicted on Polymarket
BlockBeats News, July 18, the France regulatory authority ANJ stated on July 17 that Polymarket's website will be blocked within France, after previously banning financial transactions to the website in November 2024.
ANJ stated that the website's continued availability (real-time updating of odds on various events) constitutes advertising. Despite French accounts being prohibited from trading, the number of visits to the Polymarket website from French internet addresses has been increasing, reaching 578,751 in June.
