Oracle Founder Sued Over 'Corrupt' Warner Bros. Deal with Trump
On July 16, a shareholder filed a lawsuit against Larry Ellison (founder of Oracle), his son David Ellison, and other members of the Paramount Skydance Corp. board, attempting to block their $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). The lawsuit alleges that the Ellisons engaged in an illegal deal with U.S. President Donald Trump, promising to provide 'illegal private benefits' to eliminate federal regulatory hurdles, including the potential firing of CNN news anchors.
