According to DigiTimes, Apple is reportedly seeking to acquire an artificial intelligence chip company. Apple's in-house M2 Ultra chip has been found to be inadequate to run advanced AI workloads, forcing Apple to rely on Nvidia. The future version of Apple's AI server chip, named "Baltra," was originally scheduled to ship this year but has been delayed.
