Galaxy Digital Research Head: BTC Dormant Supply in 2026 Expected to Be Less Than Half of Last Year, 'Great Distribution' Phase is Mostly Over
BlockBeats News, July 15th, Galaxy Digital's Head of Research Alex Thorn stated that during 2024 and 2025, a large amount of long-dormant BTC was reactivated and transferred on-chain, with the scale second only to that of 2017.
He pointed out that the "Great Distribution" phase brought about by the awakening of old BTC in this round is now basically over, and it is expected that the number of BTC awakened in 2026 will be less than half of that in 2025.
