Ark Research Director: Only 0.15% of revenue generated by Robinhood Chain flowed to Ethereum
Odaily reported that Lorenzo Valente, Ark’s Director of Cryptocurrency Research, wrote on X stating that Robinhood Chain is the clearest case study for observing how the ETH economic model evolves over time.
Since its inception, Robinhood Chain has generated approximately $816,000 in revenue; Arbitrum, the middleware provider, claimed 10%, about $80,000; then Arbitrum paid settlement fees to the Ethereum mainnet, around $1,538. The profit distribution for this model is roughly as follows — Robinhood: 89%; Arbitrum: 10%; Ethereum: 0.15%.
If your argument is "ETH as currency," then Robinhood building an L2 within the Ethereum ecosystem is highly positive. However, if your argument is "ETH as an income-generating asset," then this is an extremely negative case.
