Serenity: Beware of new "short-selling patterns" emerging in the market targeting trillion-dollar companies like Nvidia
According to Odaily, "White-haired Stock God" Serenity posted on platform X, stating that the market has recently witnessed a new type of "short-selling tactic" targeting trillion-dollar technology companies such as NVIDIA and TSMC. Some opinions deliberately exaggerate certain technical or supply chain issues, then deduce conclusions such as project delays or business setbacks. Such maneuvers often put companies in a dilemma: if they choose not to respond, related remarks may negatively impact share prices and market sentiment; if the company clarifies the situation, it's hard to disclose too many details, since supply chain information usually involves trade secrets, and external doubts may not dissipate as a result.
Serenity added that, given the current social media environment and traffic incentive mechanisms, this pattern of attracting attention by creating controversy and amplifying local issues is being increasingly replicated. Its long-term development trend is something the market should be wary of.
