Goldman Sachs: Stock market gains to broaden in the second half of the year, with tech company earnings growth as the key driver
Odaily reports that Peter Oppenheimer, Chief Global Equity Strategist at Goldman Sachs Group, stated that global equity markets are expected to maintain their strong momentum in the second quarter, with earnings growth among technology companies serving as a key driver. “As long as earnings continue to perform well and growth broadens out, I believe equities will continue to rise in the second half of the year,”
Oppenheimer said, “The gains may not match those of the first half, but I believe the uptrend will be widespread.” He noted that earnings growth in the technology sector will persist, although investor focus is shifting from data center and cloud computing platform operators toward semiconductor and equipment manufacturers supporting the AI boom.
