The AI Sector Faces Largest Loser in $8.5 Million Drawdown, Whale Previously Held $90 Million Long Position
BlockBeats News, June 26th, according to Hyperinsight monitoring, due to the drag from Apple's sharp decline leading to a weakening of large-cap tech stocks, as well as the U.S. PCE inflation staying high and the further cooling of market rate cut expectations, funds took profits from the high-flying AI sector, and individual stocks in the AI industry chain fell back last night and this morning.
On Hyperliquid, a whale (0x3200) has been continuously laying out positions in the AI industry chain over the past month, successively establishing positions in NVDA, MSFT, MU, SKHX, GOOGL, META, BABA, MRVL, with a cumulative position size reaching as high as $89.7 million at one point.
Impacted by this round of pullback, the total unrealized loss of the current position has expanded to $8.5 million, with an additional $3.47 million unrealized loss in the past 24 hours. NVDA (average price $212) and MSFT (average price $407) are the biggest sources of losses, both exceeding the position's principal.
Today, this address has closed all long positions in SKHX and MU, realizing a small profit. The current portfolio position size has been reduced to $72.7 million.
