Motorola Solutions plans to acquire leading counter-drone technology company D-Fend for $1.5 billion

Glonghui June 2｜Motorola Solutions announced that it has reached a definitive acquisition agreement and will fully acquire leading counter-drone technology provider D-Fend Solutions for USD 1.5 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year, pending approval from relevant regulatory authorities. In its press release, Motorola stated that D-Fend’s technology has been proven in real-world scenarios and is trusted by governments, public safety agencies, and enterprises worldwide, with thousands of systems deployed in more than 30 countries. Over the past three years, D-Fend’s annual revenue growth rate has exceeded 50%, and it is projected that the company’s total revenue in 2026 will reach USD 185 million.
