Dick's Sporting Goods surpasses Q1 net sales expectations but lowers full-year profit guidance

The company lowered its full-year earnings guidance due to the margin pressure from the acquisition of Foot Locker, which dragged down performance, even as strong demand for athletic shoes and apparel boosted quarterly sales. The company now expects diluted earnings per share in 2026 to be between $13.27 and $14.27, compared to the previous forecast of $13.70 to $14.70; it maintains its full-year net sales forecast at $22.1 billion to $22.4 billion.
