Lighter completes verification of L2 "escape mechanism," allowing users to withdraw to the mainnet even if the sequencer fails
According to Odaily, Lighter announced on X that it has completed the verification of its "escape mechanism" by third-party L2BEAT. This means that even if the sequencer at the L2 layer malfunctions, users can permissionlessly withdraw funds from Lighter's L2 back to Ethereum. Lighter is the industry's first L2 Perp DEX to implement this feature.
