US Stocks Close: Dow Falls 0.31%, S&P 500 Rises 0.29%, Nasdaq Up 0.89%

On May 2, US stocks closed with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.31%, the S&P 500 up 0.29%, and the Nasdaq up 0.89%. Following strong Q1 earnings, an exchange rose 3.24%, and an exchange increased by 8.25%. an exchange gained 5.44%, closing at a new high of $99.62. This week, the S&P 500 rose 0.9%, the Dow Jones increased by 0.5%, and the Nasdaq was up 1.1%. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq have both risen for six consecutive weeks, marking the longest streak since October 2024.
