February 2026 Personal Income and Spending Report

According to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, personal income fell by $18.2 billion, or 0.1 percent, in February. After accounting for personal current taxes, disposable personal income (DPI) also declined by $18.3 billion, reflecting a 0.1 percent decrease. In contrast, personal consumption expenditures (PCE) rose by $103.2 billion, marking a 0.5 percent increase.

This update, which covers February 2026, was postponed from its original release date of March 27, 2026, due to the federal government shutdown that occurred between October and November 2025. Personal outlays, which include PCE, interest payments, and current transfer payments, are also detailed in the full report.
