ZachXBT: Iranian exchange Wallex wallet address simultaneously frozen by Circle and Tether, with approximately $2.49 million in assets stranded on-chain
ChainCatcher reports, according to market sources, that a wallet address (0x6926408f55c4f322ebe1a3cc7e4fff380c5543df) under Iran-based cryptocurrency exchange Wallex (wallex.ir) has been frozen simultaneously by Circle and Tether.
A few hours before the above address was frozen, Wallex began consolidating crypto assets dispersed across multiple hot wallets on the Tron and Ethereum networks to the BNB Chain via several cross-chain bridges. Currently, about 2.49 million US dollars worth of assets remain stranded at the related address and are inactive.
