格隆汇 March 21|The ongoing conflict between the US and Iran continues, causing persistent volatility in the capital markets. In the stock market, except for South Korea's KOSPI index which achieved a 5.36% increase this week, all other major national stock indices ended the week with losses. The Dow Jones fell by 2.11% this week, marking four consecutive weeks of decline and setting the longest weekly losing streak since February 2023; the Nasdaq dropped by 2.07% this week, also falling for four consecutive weeks; the S&P 500 index declined by 1.9% this week. Germany's DAX index led the European stock markets with a 4.55% weekly drop, France's stock index fell by 3.11%, and the UK's stock index decreased by 3.34% this week. In the commodities sector, precious metals and energy showed a stark divergence in performance. Brent crude oil futures closed at $112.19, reaching the highest level since mid-2022, with a weekly gain of over 8.77%. International gold and silver prices fell, with COMEX gold futures dropping by 11.07% this week and COMEX silver futures declining by 16.28%.
