Starknet: STRK20 testnet will launch next week, with the mainnet planned for release at the end of April
ChainCatcher news, Ethereum Layer 2 network Starknet announced on the X platform that the STRK20 testnet will go live next week, with the mainnet scheduled for launch at the end of April.
STRK20 is designed to support the issuance of privacy stablecoins and other privacy assets while meeting compliance requirements. Its goal is to provide token-level privacy for assets on Starknet, keeping transaction amounts and account balances confidential and compatible with DeFi applications.

The U.S. continues to put economic pressure on Iran, seeking to end the conflict that has persisted for nearly eight months. On Thursday, the U.S. imposed a new round of sanctions on Iran, targeting individuals, networks, and 17 vessels involved in transporting Iranian crude oil, refined petroleum products, and petrochemicals. 5. Oil prices have been highly volatile this week due to escalating threats to oil transportation in the Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz since October. The oil market is also facing the impact of Hurricane Isaias in the Gulf of Mexico. According to the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, as of Thursday, oil producers in the region have shut in about 1.3 million barrels/day of capacity, accounting for 62.9% of current crude production due to the hurricane.
