JPMorgan Forecasts Two 25 Basis Point Rate Hikes by Bank of England in 2026
On March 20, JPMorgan predicted that the Bank of England will raise interest rates by 25 basis points each in April and July 2026, a shift from its previous forecast of maintaining unchanged rates throughout the year. The firm has factored in expectations for two rate cuts, but anticipates these will not occur until the second and fourth quarters of 2027.
