Sui Foundation announced the launch of the Bitcoin-collateralized lending primitive Hashi based on the Sui chain. The devnet is about to launch, and the mainnet is planned to go live later this year. Hashi adopts a Multi-Party Computation (MPC) security mechanism combined with Sui smart contracts, supporting native BTC for on-chain stablecoin lending, structured products, and automated collateral management. Institutions such as BitGo, Bullish, Erebor Bank, FalconX, Fordefi, and Ledger have committed to participate. Sui ecosystem protocols including AlphaLend, Navi, Scallop, and Suilend will integrate on the first day of the mainnet launch. Hashi smart contracts will be audited and formally verified by Asymptotic, Certora, and OtterSec.
