Stop attributing economic difficulties to Brexit, Reeves advised
Rachel Reeves Faces Criticism Over Brexit Stance
Rachel Reeves has come under fire for allegedly attempting to soften the UK's position on Brexit, as she prepares to outline her vision for strengthening economic ties with the European Union to boost growth. In her upcoming Mais lecture, the chancellor will emphasize the importance of regional investment and artificial intelligence as key drivers for economic expansion.
Reeves is expected to assert that the UK retains the ability to influence its own destiny, stating, "Britain is not without agency in a rapidly changing world. We have the power to determine our future. Our approach centers on stability, targeted investment, and meaningful reform, all led by a proactive and strategic government."
She will also announce three major initiatives aimed at unlocking the UK's greatest growth prospects over the next decade.
