ChainCatcher news, DeFi researcher Ingas posted on X platform stating that the staking-based Ethereum exchange-traded fund ETHB launched by BlackRock attracted approximately $46 million in capital inflows within just two days of listing. The fund holds spot ETH and stakes 70% - 95% of ETH through a certain exchange. Investors can receive about 82% of the staking yield in cash monthly, and there is no compounding operation within the fund. This design may attract "whale" investors who wish to live off the yield. The remaining 18% of the yield goes to BlackRock and the exchange.

Ingas stated that BlackRock launched a separate staking-based Ethereum ETF instead of adding staking functionality to the existing Ethereum exchange-traded fund ETHA because staking increases the risk of punitive impairment, which some investors want to avoid.
