XRP price could explode due to multi-year triangular pattern.
- XRP forms a symmetrical long-term triangle on the monthly chart.
- Breakout could push XRP price up to $48
- XRP is trading at $1,39 today after a 3% daily drop.
XRP has once again caught the attention of analysts following the formation of a technical pattern that has been building over several years on the monthly chart. The structure suggests that the cryptocurrency may be approaching a turning point within the current market cycle.
Currently, XRP is trading near $1,39, registering a drop of about 3% in the last 24 hours. Despite the recent decline, the asset still accumulates an approximate 2% gain for the week, indicating that the short-term movement occurs within a broader consolidation phase.
According to an analysis shared by trading expert Ali Martinez on March 13, the XRP chart shows the formation of a large symmetrical triangle that has been developing for several years.
This type of pattern occurs when the price starts moving within an increasingly smaller range, compressed between an ascending support line and a descending resistance line.
In practice, this means that the asset registers progressively higher lows while struggling to break through certain upper levels. Over time, this compression creates a wedge-shaped structure that usually precedes stronger price movements.
In technical analysis, triangular formations are often interpreted as periods of accumulation before a significant breakout.
In the case of XRP, the analyst points out that a breakout above the upper line of the triangle could open up space for significant appreciation in the long term. The projection presented in the chart suggests that the asset could reach levels close to US$48 if the breakout is confirmed during a broader cryptocurrency bull market.
In addition to the main structure, the study also highlights important levels that may influence XRP's behavior in the coming months.
Among the observed support regions are the areas near US$0,90 and US$1,60, which have historically functioned as defensive zones for buyers.
On the upside, significant resistance appears near $3,32. If XRP manages to break through this region with consistent volume, the move could indicate the start of a new phase of price expansion.
The technical projection presented in the chart points to a possible price range between US$27 and US$48 if the breakout of the triangular formation is confirmed during the next cryptocurrency bull market cycle.
