Wholesale Price Trends in February 2026

According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), wholesale prices saw a 1.2% increase in February 2026 compared to the same month in 2025. This rate of growth was consistent with the figures reported for January 2026 and December 2025.

On a monthly basis, wholesale prices in February 2026 were up by 0.6% compared to January 2026.

The primary driver behind the annual rise in overall wholesale prices was a significant surge in the costs of non-ferrous ores, metals, and semi-finished metal products. These items experienced an average price jump of 44.9% compared to February 2025, and their prices were also notably higher than in the previous month.
