Analysis: The recent decline in precious metals may trigger a deeper correction
According to Odaily, Gregor Gregersen, founder of precious metals dealer Silver Bullion, stated that the sudden drop in precious metals this time suggests that its nature may not be an orderly profit-taking. "If institutions were simply aiming for profit and liquidating large gold or silver positions, they would usually do so in a more gradual manner to secure higher transaction prices. What we have seen is a sharp decline within a very short period, and there is a lack of obvious triggering factors." He added that this has sparked market speculation that the move may be "intended" to trigger further declines. (Golden Ten Data)
