According to a report by Bijie Network: At the "Trump Account Summit" hosted by the Department of the Treasury, Kevin Bassett cited Gallup poll data, pointing out that 39% of Americans have a positive attitude toward socialism, while another statistic shows that 38% of American households do not invest in stocks. He positioned the new "Trump Account" (a federally supported children's investment account) as a core initiative aimed at "cultivating a new generation of capitalists" by providing opportunities for long-term stock market investment. Bassett believes that allowing young people to share in the gains of market growth by investing in broad index funds can change economic sentiment over time. The project has received donations from well-known figures such as Ray Dalio and Michael Dell, with the goal of enabling accounts for children born between 2025 and 2028 to benefit from 18 years of compound growth.
