PANews, January 29 — According to monitoring by GMGN, the market cap of the Solana-based meme coin BP surged sharply in a short period, reaching a peak of $14.9 million, and is currently reported at $13.6 million, with a price of approximately $0.0132 and a 24-hour increase of 608%.
The market hype originated from a photo posted by an account named "Barking Puppy," which is believed to possibly be operated by Kevin Gill, the brother of Keith Gill (X: Roaring Kitty). The account recently updated its Instagram bio and posted a "Roaring Kitty-style" image—a person in a suit holding a funny dog mask.
Keith Gill became famous for the 2021 GameStop short squeeze event and once again sparked a frenzy for meme stocks and Solana-based meme coins in 2024 through mysterious posts.
