Jinse Finance reported that Bitcoin mining stocks surged significantly on Friday, with Riot Platforms leading the gains and its share price approaching multi-year highs. Riot announced two "key deals," including a ten-year data center lease agreement with semiconductor giant AMD, with initial contract revenue of at least $311 million, potentially reaching $1 billion if extended. In addition, Riot spent $96 million to acquire approximately 200 acres of land in Milam County, Texas, providing stable support for the operation of the Rockdale data center. Meanwhile, an exchange announced plans to expand the Helios facility in Texas, obtaining an 830 MW power access permit, with a future theoretical capacity of up to 1.6 GW, which could make it the largest single mining site in the United States. Galaxy CEO Novogratz stated that the company is considering more land opportunities to meet the demand for ultra-large-scale data centers before 2030. Other companies such as CleanSpark and Bitfarms are also accelerating their expansion in the United States.
