Euro rises slightly but underperforms other G10 currencies – Scotiabank
Euro Shows Modest Gains Against US Dollar

EUR/USD Maintains Range as ECB Signals Steady Policy
Recent economic data releases have been sparse, with Germany’s final CPI meeting expectations at 1.8% year-over-year and prompting little market movement. The European Central Bank’s Chief Economist Lane reinforced the institution’s neutral approach, emphasizing that there is currently no discussion about changing interest rates.
Market expectations for interest rates have steadied after a recent decline, which may provide some support for the Euro. Looking ahead, next week’s economic calendar could bring notable market shifts, particularly with the upcoming ZEW sentiment survey on Tuesday and preliminary PMI data on Friday.
The EUR/USD pair continues to fluctuate within a clear range of approximately 1.15 to 1.19. Although the currency recently dipped below its 50-day moving average (1.1662), it has found support near the 200-day moving average (1.1589). Analysts maintain a neutral outlook, expecting the pair to remain confined between 1.1580 and 1.1680 in the near term.
