Glonghui January 16th|Plant-based meat manufacturer Beyond Meat has launched a brand new line of plant protein beverages called Beyond Immerse, marking the company's expansion from meat alternatives into the functional beverage sector. This move comes as the company faces significant financial challenges, with its revenue dropping by 10.17% over the past twelve months and a gross margin of only 9.92%. Boosted by this news, Beyond Meat surged over 8% overnight. This new product line is now exclusively available to consumers through the company's Beyond Test Kitchen direct-to-consumer platform. According to the introduction, the protein in the beverage is derived from peas and the fiber comes from cassava, aiming to support muscle health, gut health, and immune function.
