Major Bank Ratings | Citi: Maintains NVIDIA "Buy" Rating, Current Valuation is Attractive

Glonghui January 8th|Citigroup released a report stating that Nvidia unveiled its brand-new Rubin platform and several AI innovation technologies at CES 2026, significantly enhancing AI performance and efficiency. The Rubin platform’s training speed is 3.5 times faster than the previous generation, inference efficiency is improved by 5 times, and computing costs are reduced by 90%. The platform will be first deployed in the second half of 2026 by cloud service giants such as AWS and Google Cloud. In addition, Nvidia also released the BlueField-4 DPU, which significantly improves AI storage efficiency, as well as the Alpamayo AI tool designed for autonomous driving and robotics. Citigroup is optimistic that there will be an inflection point for agent-based and physical AI demand in 2026, believes Nvidia’s current valuation is attractive, and maintains a “Buy” rating with a target price of $270.
