Shaw: The threat of quantum computing to Bitcoin is nonsense; speculators know nothing.
BlockBeats News, December 31, ElizaOS founder Shaw shared his views on the "quantum computing threat to bitcoin," stating that its realization is much farther away than current media reports suggest. For hash functions like SHA-256, the Grover algorithm only reduces the search space from 2²⁵⁶ to 2¹²⁸, but 2¹²⁸ is still impossible to break. The Shor algorithm can theoretically break RSA/ECDSA encryption, but current quantum computers usually rely on optimizations such as preprocessing or prior knowledge of factors, rather than a universal implementation of the pure Shor algorithm.
To break bitcoin, a real-time running network, would require rapid and repeated execution. If this were possible, all encrypted data would be exposed, and bitcoin would be the least of our problems. Modern cryptography has assumed future computational growth from the very beginning, and quadratic acceleration was anticipated and considered decades ago. Whenever you see fear or hype surrounding quantum computing, remember: these people know absolutely nothing.

Saudi Arabia’s oil shipments to Asia surged to nearly 100 million barrels, with Aramco proactively covering transportation and delivering directly to China, India, and Japan-South Korea: Supply shortage expectations meet the reality of correction.
According to reports, since the middle of last week, Saudi Arabia has sold approximately 100 million barrels of crude oil to China, India, Japan, and South Korea, with delivery periods covering October and November. At the same time, Saudi Aramco has made a rare commitment in these transactions to handle logistics and transportation, delivering the crude oil directly to Asian customers. Previously, due to soaring oil prices, Asian refineries had been considering reducing operating rates. This large-scale supply has to some extent mitigated the supply risks faced by Asia.
