BlockBeats News, December 31, Moonshot AI (Kimi) recently completed a $500 million Series C financing round, with IDG leading the investment with $150 million. Existing shareholders such as Alibaba, Tencent, and Wang Huiwen oversubscribed, bringing the post-investment valuation to $4.3 billion. It is reported that Wang Huiwen has cumulatively invested $70 million in Moonshot AI. A person close to Moonshot AI stated that the enthusiasm for the company in the primary market has exceeded expectations.

On December 31, Moonshot AI founder and CEO Yang Zhilin issued an internal letter stating that the company has more than 10 billion RMB in cash reserves. This scale is already comparable to Zhipu and MiniMax after their IPOs. As of June 2025, Zhipu has 2.55 billion RMB in cash on its books, with its IPO expected to raise about 3.8 billion RMB. As of September 2025, MiniMax has 7.35 billion RMB in cash, with its IPO expected to raise between 3.4 billion and 3.8 billion RMB. Sources said this means Moonshot AI "does not need to rush for an IPO."

According to reports, since the middle of last week, Saudi Arabia has sold approximately 100 million barrels of crude oil to China, India, Japan, and South Korea, with delivery periods covering October and November. At the same time, Saudi Aramco has made a rare commitment in these transactions to handle logistics and transportation, delivering the crude oil directly to Asian customers. Previously, due to soaring oil prices, Asian refineries had been considering reducing operating rates. This large-scale supply has to some extent mitigated the supply risks faced by Asia.
