As 2025 nears its end, the crypto market struggles to gain upward momentum. While Bitcoin attempts to hold the $88,000 level, altcoins like ADA Coin face significant daily losses exceeding 5%. The coming year, however, holds promise with accelerated institutional growth due to the increasing involvement of major financial firms in cryptocurrency. Amidst this volatile backdrop, Arthur Hayes maintains a keen focus on ZEC Coin.
Crypto Surge: ZEC Coin Races Towards Record Highs
Future Prospects for ZEC Coin
Zcash (ZEC) has emerged as one of the best-performing altcoins in the last quarter. The growing interest in privacy coins, coupled with substantial network upgrades and Hayes’ endorsement, has fueled a dramatic rise in ZEC’s price. Currently, the altcoin continues to thrive above the $541 mark, largely ignoring the prevailing market pessimism.
Arthur Hayes anticipates that ZEC, the largest privacy-focused altcoin, will attain greater peaks in 2026. Even if the Federal Reserve does not accelerate its quantitative tightening, the former BitMEX CEO believes market liquidity will return. Despite entries through the ETF channel this year, order books for altcoins have diminished, and high inflation cryptocurrencies have faced significant damage.
Having recently hit a new low near $300 just a month ago, ZEC Coin benefited from the growing institutional interest in privacy-focused cryptocurrencies. Hayes expects this trend to continue, foreseeing a resurgence of risk appetite in privacy coins and predicts ZEC’s price surpassing $1,000 next year.
ZEC Coin Price Predictions
ZEC Coin witnessed a remarkable rally, climbing from $70 in October to over $735 in November, reminiscent of past bull markets. When Hayes declared his support for ZEC Coin alongside a network upgrade in October, the major uptrend had just begun. Considering the recent peak close to $775, the $1,000 target seems quite achievable for 2026.
The analyst known as CryptoCurb echoes Hayes’ prediction, stating that a break above the ascending triangle and surpassing the 50 WMA will make $1,000 an attainable goal.
Another analyst, Eric Van Tassel, commented:
“My core scenario for ZEC has not changed. I still expect a move towards the $1,000 level, but a suitable reset is necessary. The price never really touched $400, and this level is still the most rational for a corrective pullback and reaccumulation. This reset will enable a sustained rise, not invalidate it.”

HSBC believes that the traditional growth logic of data centers is shifting from frontier model iteration to AI commercialization and diffusion. With the rise in inference demand and increased capital expenditure from cloud service providers, combined with tightening power and regulatory constraints, the supply-demand imbalance is expected to persist until 2028. Even with rising interest rates, the compound annual growth rate of AFFO per share is still expected to reach 11%–12% from 2025 to 2028, demonstrating strong earning resilience.
This time, will U.S. Treasury bonds crash U.S. stocks?
Bloomberg strategist Simon White warns that the recent rise in US Treasury yields is shifting from a "benign" increase driven by interest rate expectations to a disorderly surge fueled by expanding term premium. Market analysts note that higher long-term interest rates will simultaneously push up US stock valuation discount rates and corporate financing costs, intensifying liquidation pressure on highly leveraged assets. If interest rates above 5% become the new norm, US stock valuations will face ongoing compression pressure.
