According to Odaily, Pilla.eth, Head of Marketing at the Lighter team, shared some details about the Lighter TGE during an AMA themed around the TGE. The main points include:
1. The TGE and airdrop will take place in 2025, with the airdrop accounting for 25% of the total supply and no lock-up restrictions. The airdrop does not require a claim and will be directly deposited into the Lightner wallets of points holders.
2. 50% of the token supply will be allocated to the community. More details on tokenomics will be announced gradually. There will be a token buyback, but the specific amount is yet to be determined. "Therefore, value will flow to the token."
3. The LIT token will initially only be tradable on the Lighter platform. An exchange has already added LIT to their roadmap. They will not pay for exchange listings.
4. There will be no official Lighter NFT, but some community NFTs, such as Fuego, are recognized. The meme coin airdrop is just a rumor.
Additionally, Pilla.eth revealed that Lighter is developing "a mobile application comparable to CEX apps."
