Yearn: yETH pool suffers complex attack, with losses of approximately $8.9 million
Jinse Finance reported that Yearn issued a statement saying its yETH stable pool was attacked at 21:11 UTC on November 30. The attacker used a custom contract to mint a large amount of yETH, resulting in approximately $8 million in losses from the pool, with an additional loss of about $900,000 coming from the yETH-WETH pool on Curve. Yearn stated that the affected code is unrelated to other products, and both V2/V3 Vaults were not impacted. The complexity of the incident is similar to the previous attack on Balancer. The team is currently working with SEAL911 and the auditing firm Chain Security to investigate the matter.

Michael Burry has dramatically increased his short positions on Micron, Palantir, and semiconductor ETFs, stating that the scale is “quite large.” His main reasoning is that Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron squeezed their conventional DRAM production to meet AI-driven HBM demand, resulting in a shortage; however, with production capacity now ramping up, the Damocles sword of oversupply is hanging over the market. The inventory warning from Acer’s CEO has further convinced him that the memory cycle has already peaked.
