Base: Launching a Revenue Sharing Mechanism for Creator Content Transactions in the Base App
On August 8, Base announced via Twitter that on the Base app, creators can earn income when users interact with their content. Every time a post is bought or sold, the creator receives a fee that goes directly into their wallet. Starting today, Base will begin supporting creators in this new global economy by collecting and minting content. In addition, Base stated that this series is not intended for investment returns and does not constitute financial advice; please do your own research. Base intends to hold these tokens indefinitely, without trading or selling them. We believe creators should be directly rewarded for their creativity and hope to demonstrate how creators can profit from their content.
